Change managers see more pain, downsizing
Article Abstract:
Many of the people in charge of making changes in organizations implement policies that adversely affect both the organization and its members. Often, managers' change management style involves laying off people because their jobs have been rendered obsolete by technology. Moreover, technology spawns corporate reengineering, resulting in fewer people running the organization. To avoid termination, employees should be resilient and have the necessary knowledge and skills. Technical personnel are among those who possess these characteristics.
