Recession has not affected training budgets
Article Abstract:
The American Society for Training and Development conducted a survey on the amount of corporate training and development in the US in 1991. The survey indicated that 70% of the firms maintained or even raised their budgets for training and development. Only 29% disclosed that they lowered their training budgets as part of an across-the-board decision concerning all departments. Training expenditures for total quality management schemes and management development programs have also increased steadily.
