Image processing as a quality tool: this technique can increase productivity and quality
Article Abstract:
Imaging in archival storage medium does not suffer the same limitations of storage capability and unsophisticated software and hardware, as micrographics (microfilm or microfiche). Imaging can be used in the typical day to day work processes and its benefits include reduced costs, work reduction and elimination, and improved customer service. It allows quick document retrieval, permits panning of a document in any direction, and offers extensive electronic editing capabilities.
