A spatial model of optimal water conveyance
Article Abstract:
Many water projects encounter problems associated with conveying water to end-users. Water utilities should be required to invest in projects designed to reduce conveyance losses because of conveyance's public good characteristics. A spatial model to determine optimal conveyance investment, water allocation and investment in firm-specific conservation technology is developed.

Can a water market avert the "double-whammy" of trade reform and lead to a "win-win" outcome?
Article Abstract:
Morocco, and its linkages between trade policies and water are discussed. Changing water policy without correcting for the order distortions leads to a more inefficient allocation of water, and reforming trade policy alone can make farmers growing crops protected pre-reform worse off.
