On optimal capacity expansion for domestic processing of an exhaustible, natural resource
Article Abstract:
The issue of capacity expansion for domestic processing of depletable, natural resource exports in a small open economy may be evaluated in the context of non-malleable capita. The analysis encompasses the procurement of a complete qualitative characterization of the optimal dynamic paths for resource extraction, domestic processing and capacity expansion. The concluding deductions include the observations that the ideal pattern of capacity expansion is of the front-end loading variety.
