Perceptions versus objective measures of environmental quality in combined revealed and stated preference models of environmental valuation
Article Abstract:
Perceptual and objective measures of environmental quality affect the performance of combined revealed (RP) and stated preference (SP) models. An analysis of these measures' use shows that an RP-SP model is more significant than just an RP model alone. Additionally, the use of perceptual measures appears to have more of an effect on these models than objective data.
