Habitat restoration projects conducted in the Southwest by Racher Resource Management (RRM), a natural resource management company based in Corona is profiled and the need to find beneficial uses for biomass that is being generated form these types of projects is discussed. The study shows how salt cedars, a troublesome tree that depletes groundwater and cause a fire risk can be managed by grinding and turning biomass into compostable feedstock, mulch, renewable fuel and bioproducts.
