Family life education programs for stepfamilies
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine family life education programs that help stepfamilies and to analyze evaluation studies that have considered their effectiveness. The programs were evaluated based on their content and methodology. The study also examined the various factors affecting family dynamics, including the issue of closeness, family-related complexities and competition for time. Results indicated a lack of solid intervention programs designed for stepfamilies and also suggested the use of video and computer technologies to enhance instruction processes.

Predicting relationship status and satisfaction after six months among dating couples
Article Abstract:
Females contribute more to their premarital relationship than males and have a greater influence on their relationship in the future. A study based on an investment model uses 42 couples to predict, after 6 months of dating, the status of the relationship and satisfaction with it. The extent of satisfaction, reliability, and quality relationship alternatives during the initial dating stage affect the relationship status in the future. Females are more committed to their relationships and have a broader view of its future.
