Effects of fathers of children with Down syndrome
Article Abstract:
The adaptation of fathers of children with Down's syndrome is related to their satisfaction with the social support they receive, to marital satisfaction and to their personality characteristics rather than to the characteristics of their disabled child. These fathers experience the same level of depression, personality difficulty and marital difficulties as fathers of non-disabled children. This is the conclusion of the study on 87 fathers of disabled children.
