Article Abstract:
The National Assn of Attorneys General has asked the Federal Trade Commission(FTC) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to work jointly with the states to formulate national standards for environmental marketing claims. Thisindicates the growing concern of the association over the foreseen proliferation of environmental marketing claims. While the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not been very successful in regulating health and nutrition marketing claims, the FTC and EPA can learn valuable lessons from FDA's experience.
