Redressing inequality in parent care among siblings
Article Abstract:
This article examines how siblings rectify imbalances in their responsibilities in providing care for their parents. The authors, applying equity theory among 40 focus groups, found that siblings used two approaches to address inequalities in their sibling caregiving relationships, in which one was demanding behavioral changes, and the other in which cognitive changes were made.
