A new Landmark
Article Abstract:
When Mike and Mary Calhoun took over Landmark Vineyards in 1993, the winery has been suffering through several years of producing inferior Chardonnays. The Calhouns hired notoriously tough consultant Helen Turley to help restyle Landmark's wines. Turley suggested that Landmark scale back to focus only on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The approach has succeeded, and their Chardonnay is now one of the best all-around wines, both for taste and value. The Pinot Noir is swiftly catching up.
