Napa's name down the drain?
Article Abstract:
Fred Franzia owns Bronco Wine Co., which sells cheap wine. Franzia is best known for a conviction of fraud in representing inexpensive grapes as expensive ones. Franzia has bought several Napa, CA area wineries which will allow him to represent his wine as being cellared and bottled in Napa. Wine makers in the area should organize to proclaim that wines with the Napa Valley appellation be from grapes grown in Napa Valley.
