A winemaker's Everest
Article Abstract:
New Zealander Mark Inglis, who is a trained winemaker and a consultant for several sparkling-wine producers in New Zealand, is a double amputee who reached Mount Everest in May 2006. He endured physical disability and faced the controversy of not helping a dying fellow climber in order to raise money for charity by reaching the peak, and believes that the passion and commitment needed to climb Mount Everest is similar to that needed to make great wines.
