The first sales of the fall wine-auction season showed record prices generating for single-cellar offerings of pristine provenance, large-format bottlings of classic claret and moderately estimated petits chateaux. NYWinesChristie, Acker Merral & Condit, Zachys and Morrell & Co. provided collectors with an exciting array of offerings and an attractive selection of mixed lots.
