Costco's court win could cut prices

Costco Wholesale Corp., a national chain of discount warehouse clubs that is the largest wine retailer in the US, sued the Washington Liquor Control Board in 2004, arguing that the state's liquor regulations were anticompetitive. Costco found success by buying products in bulk directly from producers and thereby charging consumers a lower price.

Geno Auriemma

Geno Auriemma, head coach of the University of Connecticut women's basketball team, became seriously interested in wine in 1995, starting with first-growth Bordeaux. Auriemma wants to share his enthusiasm by opening an affordable restaurant in Connecticut's Mohegan Sun Casino in January 2006.
