Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, owner of Chateau Mouton-Rothschild, describes that the estate was upgraded to first-growth status in 1973 and it makes wines in the Bordeaux style. She is in the midst of renovating the estate and hired a new winemaker at Mouton, Philippe Dhalluin, in 2003.
