When rot is noble

The fungal infestation Botrytis cinerea is called "noble rot" by some wine makers in Germany and France for its ability to add flavor, sweetness and concentration, under the proper conditions, to some of the world's richest and most ageworthy dessert wines.

California winery to list ingredients on labels

Bonny Doon Vineyard has come out with an innovative idea to print the ingredients of the wine on the back labels of the bottle. The printing is expected to create awareness among consumers besides keeping them updated about wine components.
