A Cambridge, MA, international conference considered the beneficial aspects of a traditional Mediterranean diet, which includes moderate consumption of wine with meals. Very little meat and fish consumption is recommended, and the use of olive oil is encouraged.

The wine bars in Florence, Italy, are the best places to visit for a sandwich and some wine. Dining in wine bars, which is very casual, may be done while standing and enjoying both the sandwich and the wine. Several wine bars may be found in the city.
