Gender as a factor in newsroom managers' views on covering the private lives of politicians
Article Abstract:
A study was undertaken to examine if male and female editors would respond differently to situations involving disclosure of private information about politicians. Although women were thought to respond differently to reporting situations that involve privacy due to their different sensitivities from men, the study found no such differences, except in how men and women would respond to specified ethical situations.
