Some wine makers adulterate their products and compromise the quality of their wines. Wood preservatives in French wine cellars have caused changes in the taste of wines. There have also been allegations of wineries in Piedmont who added glycerin to their products and that wineries in Piesporter-Michelsberg added lesser quality wine to their products.
