Piedmont vintner Boffa calls himself a traditional winemaker, but his wines are becoming more complex and his winemaking style is becoming more modern. His winery, founded in 1981, produces high-quality Barolos. His style and vintages are discussed.

Italian stallion: tasting 25 vintages of Sassicaia, the heavyweight vino da tavola

Article Abstract:

A vertical tasting of Sassicaia resulted in the 1985 being the best, meriting a score of 99 on a scale of one to 100, with a bottle going for $220. The 1994 vintage is excellent, earning scores from 90 to 94.
