"Super Sicilians" to be made by Zonin
Article Abstract:
Zonin, one of the biggest wine companies in Italy, is developing a 500-acre property in Sicily, Italy, called Feudo del Principe. The company acquired the estate from Pincipi Lanza di Scalea, a prominent Sicilian family, for an undisclosed amount. A combination of local and international grapes such as Italy's Nero d'Avola and Inzolia and international grapes like Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay will be planted on the property. The Sicilian property, which is situated on the southern coastline of the island, will produce Riesi DOC wines and several other "super Sicilian" wines.
