Vintner group seeks to protect Napa Valley's name
Article Abstract:
The Napa Valley Vintners Association is seeking state legislation that would require wine makers to reveal percentages of the grapes in the blend when using names that refer to Napa Valley regions. The action stems from concerns that vintners using inferior grapes from other regions could confuse consumers by bottling the wines in Napa, though the grapes may come from elsewhere in California.
