Article Abstract:
Pinot Noir is the most widely planted grape variety in Champagne and is often blended with Pinot Noirs of other vineyards, with Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier and with wines from other vintages. Pinot Noir brings berry fruit flavors, yet it is most prized for the body, structure and vinosity it brings to a sparkling blend as well as for its complexity and aging potential.
