Riesling, considered as the world's greatest white wine grapes is on the rise with imports up and domestic production increasing. Late-harvested Riesling specialized by Germany, Alsace, and Austria makes intensely sweet, concentrated dessert wines, whose ample residual sugar helps preserve them for decades.
