Anhydrite
Article Abstract:
Calcium sulfate minerals are formed when ocean or lake water evaporates, usually existing as gypsum first, and as time goes by and more water is lost, gypsum is converted to anhydrite. Among the few anhydrites that can be cut into jewelry is Angelite, a blue anhydrite from Peru used for crafts and fort cabs. The physical properties of anhydrites are also given.

Gold has been a favorite material of various cultures throughout history, and native gold or gold of ancient Indo-Germanic origin is the material of choice in gold craftsmanship. It is chemically inert and can have different shades if rich in other metals. Other properties of gold , its mining and its various uses are also discussed.

Cacoxenite
Article Abstract:
Cacoxenite is a mineral which forms fine needles and comes in yellow, golden, orangish and brownish colors which make it stick out from a matrix. Most cacoxenites are found in phosphate pegmatites, and is more widely distributed in deposits of limonite. Other properties of cacoxenite are discussed.
