Grow a cool crop of spinach

Spinach likes cooler weather and make an excellent fall crop. Fast growing varieties, such as Tyee, Melody and Space, are the best choices so that they will be harvested before winter. Tough varieties such as Avon, Teton and Bloomsdale longstanding can be grown in winter with the right care.

Easiest cucumbers ever!

Cucumbers are fun and easy to grow. Growing at least three varieties at a time is recommended. Cucumbers grow best at moderate temperatures. Seeds can be started indoors, or planted directly after spring's last frost. Several varieties are described.
