Pre-cut log-home kits are available in a wide variety of styles and sizes with prices ranging from about $15,000 to $175.000. The erection and finishing of the home will bring the total cost to approximately twice the kit price. Many log home are not only comfortable, but energy-efficient as well.

Beds can be constructed for comfort and still be designed to include storage cabinets. Plans are given for three such beds. One is a loft bed with closets beneath it. A bunk bed is designed with shelving and cabinets. A berth-like bed has a privacy-giving book case at its foot.
