Article Abstract:
Most of the world's palm species live in tropical regions, but many are native to cold regions. These durable palms can withstand inclement weather and appear to thrive on adversity. Gardeners in cold regions should consider these types of palms, which include the needle palm, the dwarf palmetto, saw palmetto, Mediterranean fan palm, pindo or jelly palm, Mexican fan palm, the hardy bamboo palm, the radicalis palm, and the Chinese windmill palm.
