Treated lumber's new look
Article Abstract:
The lumber industry has improved and revived and addition of colorants and waterproofing to pressure-treated lumber to give consumers an attractive, long lasting product and to help boost the industry's annual growth rate by 4-5%. In addition to lowering maintenance needs, some lumber companies are using additives that inhibit the aging process and encourage customers to build new decks or fences. Lumber marketers claim that the new processes will not endanger the high standards set for treated lumber.
