Decision framing and support for concessions in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
Article Abstract:
The influence of framing a decision task as inclusion versus exclusion on the extent to which Israeli Jewish respondents' support for the concession of Jewish settlements in the West Bank and Gaza in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is investigated. The findings indicate that framing the task in terms of exclusion or inclusion affects respondents' support for territorial compromise and such framing has greater effect on support for conceding settlements that are perceived as ambiguous in comparison to settlements that are perceived as more clear-cut.
