Environmental conflict between refugee and host communities
Article Abstract:
A theoretical approach is adopted to the environment conflict nexus that considers a range of local variables that shape the ways in which actors socially construct resource use competition. This theoretical approach is developed with reference to environmental conflicts in areas hosting refugees and evidence support the view that participatory and inclusive resource management regimes may enable communities to construct resource use conflicts in ways tat help to prevent unproductive conflicts.

US media pools
Article Abstract:
The US's long, slow military deployment to Lebanon and the quick, sharp military strike in Iraq are stark examples of the reasons for news media controls that the Pentagon and President George Bush saw as necessary. The existence of evidence indicating a confirmation of the hypotheses that US media are constrained by military poling, suggests a savvy practice of agenda-framing and second-level agenda-setting among military operations planners who determine the implementation of media pooling.

Democratization and international conflict: the impact of institutional legacies
Article Abstract:
The study re-examines the link between democratization and international conflict. It is founded on the argument that the greatest threat to a democratizing incumbent's tenure arises from the ability of the old authoritarian elite or their supporters to overthrow the new regime for failed foreign policies.
