How peace agreements are derailed: The evolution of values in Cyprus, 1959-74
Article Abstract:
The relationship between risk-taking behavior and value prioritization is investigated and an analytical framework is developed to explain where groups stood over time on a high/low conflict continuum in the case of Cyprus 1959-74. It seeks to explain how peace agreements derail by focusing on the evolution of value-frames held by agent/stakeholders representing ethnic groups in conflict.

A myth of peace: 'The Vision of the New Middle East' and its transformations in the Israeli political and public spheres
Article Abstract:
The transformations of the narrative of 'the Vision of the New Middle East' are studied as a political myth in Israel from its conception in the early 1990s. The closer observations in the Israeli public and political spheres suggests that the uses and transformations of 'the New Middle East' in effect signal its failure to become a politically mobilizing myth.
