Promoting freedom and democracy: fighting the war of ideas against Islamic terrorism
Article Abstract:
After the cold war, the United States now finds itself fighting a new war of ideas, a battle against the Islamic world that wants to destroy the American society and its values of freedom and equality, opportunity and happiness. Possibly, the greatest foreign policy challenge faced by the U.S. is to win this war against international terrorism, and the victory can only be achieved by spreading the message of truth about the societies which spread terror and terrorist leaders who fight in the name of Jihad.

Thickening the thin red line: the role of native troops in the Imperial British Army
Article Abstract:
Foreign troops have always been used to thicken the rank and file of British army which capitalized on their natural strengths and expertise and won wars with proper training and commitment given to the native movement. The potential role played by the native forces can well be used by the U.S. in its foreign policies, if it understands how the British native units helped in the expansion and preservation of the empire, taking lesson from their mistakes.
