Business ethics in New Zealand organisations: views from the middle and lower level managers
Article Abstract:
A study has been conducted to assess the state of business ethics in New Zealand organizations from the point of view of middle and lower level managers. A survey questionnaire was circulated among 76 postgraduate diploma students of the University of New Zealand. All have responded to the survey. Findings have revealed that most companies in New Zealand give low priorities to ethics with other values in the corporate culture. Respondents have also suggested that mandatory moral and ethical education be made available to maintain a high standard of ethical environment.

Corporate moral agency: review and implications
Article Abstract:
The pros and cons of corporate moral agency have been examined while the acceptance of moral agency by laws in the US and UK have also been discussed. Recommendations are also presented on how academics and practitioners can move forward the debate on the issue. This can be done by doing further research on arguments for and against corporate moral agency, formulating a clear ontology and epistemology of organizations, clarifying the nature of stakeholder responsibilities and determining if moral agency imbues virtue ethics to corporations.
