Remarks from the investiture of Judge William A. Fletcher
Article Abstract:
Professor William A Fletcher of the Boalt Hall School of Law becomes a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit after the longest confirmation period in the history of the federal courts. Fletcher left politics after working on the presidential campaign in 1992, taking his "voice of sanity" with him and after he left Congressmen started acting as prosecutors rather than legislating, trying cases in the Senate.All who have worked or studied with Fletcher admire him.
