Inmarsat and navtec launch maritime emergency position inidicating radio beacon "Inmarsat-E'
Article Abstract:
Inmarsat, the leading satellite communications provider to the maritime industry, and partner navtec GmbH jointly launched a new Inmarsat-E emergency position indicating radio beacon (EPRIB) called navtec global-3. The EPRIB features a compact size, measuring only 210 mm in diameter by 210 mm high, and weighs less than 1.2 kg. Because of its size, the navtec global-3 is ideal for liesure, fishing and commercial fleet vessels.
