The canon and cultural studies: culture and anarchy in Gotham City
Article Abstract:
The film 'Batman' (1990) featured Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne contained political value that can be related to contemporary politics. The film depicted the disagreement between culture and anarchy in its make-believe Gotham City. In the story of the film 'Batman,' the people in the city had their own culture where vigilance was tolerated and politics was very much influenced by social status. The film can be of help in analyzing and evaluating political ideology, in knowing the condition of law enforcement and construction of literature in present day political set-up.

Paper dolls collector Janie Barrett did not like dolls when she was a child. She only discovered her passion for paper dolls when she saw the paper dolls section in the Sunday newspaper. She started collecting in 1928 and added to her collection every year.
