Australian MP Pauline Hanson wants to reduce the number of Asians in the nation, restrict immigration and end special treatment for aboriginals. Her views are extreme, but represent a growing uneasiness in Australia over identity. Some want to align more with Asia, others still identify with the UK.

Kuptana is an Inuit Eskimo who has fought hard for the rights of Canadian natives. She served on the committee that framed the constitution in 1992 to preserve the fights of natives. The constitution was rejected by popular vote in Oct 1992.
