Batteries push paper into electronic age
Article Abstract:
Thin, flexible batteries printed on paper, plastic or other materials, are the creation of a small Israeli company, Power Paper. The secret of the zinc-manganese dioxide battery lies in the secret formula for the ink used to print the electrolytes directly on the paper or plastic surface. Products that will use the technology include smart labels and smart cards. In the future, the batteries may be used in the new field of paper electronics, for electronic signs, electronic books or newspapers.
