Rogers Cablesystems, the monopoly provider of Vancouver's cable TV services, is challenging the right of a competitor cable consortium led by BC Telecom to provide cable service to the 8,000-unit Pacific Place condominium project. Several Rogers Cablesystems' vans staged a protest at the building in Feb 1995.

Riding the sales track
Article Abstract:
Canadian National Railway (CN) is laying off workers and using government money in preparation for its privatization. CN will dismiss about 5,000 of its 28,500 employees, and the Ottawa government will invest $1.4 billion in CN. Unions say this is unfair to taxpayers and laborers.

Memos to Canada Post
Article Abstract:
Several companies have complained to the Canada Post Mandate Review Committee that the Canada Post uses money earned from delivering mail to charge less than its competitors in other areas. The committee was formed to define Canada Post's goals as it approaches the 21st century.
