Most Americans see minimal problems with Year 2000 compliance. A survey of the National Science Foundation and USA Today showed less than 10% of Americans expect computer glitches to affect their lives on Jan 1, 2000 and onwards. However, most people still consider protection to avoid problems with potential malfunction by computers, which have long recognized years based only on two-digit recognition.

Small businesses not making full use of Web
Article Abstract:
The article discusses how small businesses are not using the Web to their greatest advantage. Although roughly 1.6 million small businesses will launch Web sites in the next year, many will waste more money than they make due to lack of support, uncertain payoff, and the wrong product or service.
