Executive jets can fill Concorde's speed void
Article Abstract:
Fliers who seek faster travel than commercial airline flights can choose from several executive jets with the grounding of Concorde fleet. While executive jets cannot match the Concorde's 3-hr, 55-mn speed from New York, NY, to London, UK, each can travel faster than the fastest commercial flight's time of 6 hrs and 40 mn. However, these jets command a very high price as expensive as Concorde's $10,000 round-trip ticket. Some of these jets include Cessna Aircraft Co Inc's Citation X, Global Express and Gulfstream Aerospace Corp's G-V.

Airlines pursue the trail of bucks
Article Abstract:
Airline executives say that more airlines prefer to add flights to already established routes because of the bigger profits they can make compared to opening a new route. According to American spokesman Tim Smith, adding more flights to already established routes can give over a 10% increase in revenue because of the higher fares that business travelers pay. The so- called spill, or passengers who cannot get seats on sold-out flights, is also another factor considered by the airlines.
