False memoir syndrome
Article Abstract:
The memoir introduces readers of different tastes and education to otherwise inaccessible topics where on the other hand the reader of a particular type of memoir is also vulnerable to manipulation. A case where readers are angry over the memoir present in Norma Khouri's book 'Forbidden Love' is presented. Publishers feel that the onus must be on author to make apology.
