Flesh and first blood
Article Abstract:
The blood from the baby's umbilical cord contains high concentrations of blood stem cells, called haemopoietic cells, which is a cure for those suffering from leukemia according to the Stem cell researchers. This has prompted the parents to bank their newborn's cord blood with a private outfit called Cryosite licensed with the Therapeutic Goods Administration, which allows it to store blood for the child's use only.
