Growing up in public school
Article Abstract:
A famous children's book author describes her reasons to send her only daughter to a public school rather then a private institution. Her daughter attended a private school at which her father was a teacher, until the second grade, when she was taken out of her class of 42 students and began studies at a public schools. Since no school could provide a completely well-rounded education, hers was supplemented by the experiences and learning gained through travel. Income that would have been spent on private school tuition fees.
