Inflation data suggest Fed rate rise on the way
Article Abstract:
The US Federal Reserve Board plans to raise interest rates in April 2004, prior to the November 2003 election, as a result of high inflation. However, with a strengthening economy and re-emerging price inflation, bond markets continue their selloff, increasing yields and borrowing costs for corporations and governments.

Ex-CSFB banker Quattrone sentenced to 18 months
Article Abstract:
Mr. Quattrone, a former investment banker of Credit Suisse First Boston was sentenced to 18 months in a federal prison on 8th September 2004. He is being found guilty of obstruction of federal investigation and witness tampering.
