The Defence department's foreshore sites in Sydney Harbour may be up for sale. The property management branch, the only federal department with the right to retain revenue from disposing properties to reinvest, expects to deliver approximately $900 mil to departmental funds by 2006. Prime Minister John Howard objects to the land's development.

Waking up to biotech
Article Abstract:
The biotech industry is creating a lot of stir with new developments and entrepreneurs find it an interesting area. Pharmateutical companies have to promote themselves properly to garner investments. Sydney based Novovgen is a very promising company but its potential is not yet fully realized and few people are willing to bet on the future.

Educators in Australia are concerned about the growing trend of high school students to elect to leave secondary school early. A report from the Australian Council of Educational Research reveals that early leavers are more likely to become unemployed, but that this high-risk choice is being made with increasing frequency.
