Article Abstract:
Lyre Bird Press was established in 1977 to publish artists books with little regard for time or money. It press began when the purchase of small book of engravings in a second-hand bookshop sparked a passion for artists' books. The press is located in an unfashionable side of Collins Street in Melbourne. The press has published 30 titles starting with the first in 1981 with the Diary of a Vintage.

Churchman from out of the blue
Article Abstract:
Australian writer Tom Frame annoyed his conservative superiors in the Navy, and is now a rector of an Anglican church near Canberra. He has written an autobiography, called 'Binding Ties,' dealing with the philosophy and psychology of adoption. Frame has a divided opinion on the topic, realizing the value of preserving life while admitting adopted children feel alienated from their mothers.
